Knowing the client's experience in the industry and the quality of his work, I kept the words professional, reliable, trustworthy, expert, and "built to last" in mind while designing, and wove in his desire for a strong, clean aesthetic.

Katy Vernon, a ukulele-playing artist, asked me to craft an organic, black-and-white logo that would express the way she defines herself: a "Singer of Sad Songs on a Happy Instrument." I included hand lettering to give it a quirky, feminine feel.

The owner tasked me with crafting a clean, dynamic logo that would fit her business and the types of subjects she mainly shoots, sports and events. I manipulated her initials to create a sort of "lightning bolt" symbol that's based on the icons cameras often use to indicate that the flash is turned on.

Known as a must-stop at sunset because of its stunning views, this beachside watering hole is very popular with divers, so the owner requested an organic, tropical vibe that incorporated ocean waves.

The owner of Give Thanx handcrafts memorials for people honoring loved ones who have passed away. He requested that I work into the logo design a few stages of a lily (his mother's name), including the bud (his father's name).

This photo shows just a tiny sampling of the 300-plus graphics and labels I designed for The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition for the Science Museum of Minnesota.

This is one of the many illustrations I drew for the Disease Detectives exhibition at the Science Museum of Minnesota. I was also the lead designer on this exhibit, which means I acted as creative director and executed every graphic and label in the space.
